There are actually quite a lot of people on the autism spectrum hanging around on the internet, and they are kind enough to share their experiences and perceptions within this venue. As an example, I have learned quite a lot from Donna Williams who has written extensively about her autism. I definitely think, as clinicians, it's crucial that we begin with trying to understand the issues from the perspective of the people we're trying to support. I haven't seen it yet (partly because I don't have cable), but I'd be interested in doing so.
