You’ve probably noticed that it’s been a little quiet around here this week. That’s because I was busy moving…to WordPress! Blogger was a wonderful home for almost two years, but WordPress lured me to the other side with its flexibility and endless features. I have to tell you, it wasn’t an easy move (hence the delay in new posts), but it was 100% worth it. I’m still in the process of migrating the Listen & Learn Store, though hopefully it will all be finished within the week.
So what else is changing? Well I’ve tried to keep the look and feel of Listen & Learn the same, but I will be making some changes to our premium site, Listen & Learn Plus! Those will be announced here just as soon as I notify my subscribers. Other than that, I’m planning to ramp up my game this month with new songs, downloads, and all of the other things that bring you here again and again.
In other news, this is the last week of summer music therapy and lessons for my private practice. I can hardly believe it…summer is almost over, and school begins in two weeks. I’ll certainly miss working from home on a daily basis, but I’m looking forward to being back and seeing my students. It’s going to be an exciting year: not only do I have a new internship program, but I also have an office bursting at the seams with brand new equipment! I can hardly wait to reorganize and start using it.
I’m off to plan today’s sessions, so I’ll leave you with an invitation to share your feedback on the new site. Oh, and to the WordPress users out there: what are your favorite plugins and features? I’m still a complete newbie and would love your input!
