I heard on a podcast last week that the way you spend New Year’s Eve sets the tone for the new year. I loved that idea, and am applying it to my entire day — which started with my alarm going off at 5:30 am.

(more…)Merry Christmas! I hope you’ve had a wonderful holiday spent with friends and family, along with a little relaxation as well.
As for me, this holiday season has been a…memorable one. Over the years, I’ve had a knack for getting sick right before Christmas, and apparently, I have passed that on to my children.
(more…)As December goes on, we draw closer to the BIG DAY! The joy is visible on every little face in my music therapy sessions and music classes, and it is so contagious. Between the green Christmas trees, jolly Santa Claus, beautifully wrapped presents, and Christmas music, it’s impossible not to be filled with joy!
(more…)It’s always so much fun to incorporate goal-oriented holiday songs this time of year. My clients and students are even more motivated to sing, move, and play instruments when the songs include holiday themes.
Every December, Music Therapy Connections (my private practice and teaching studio) hosts a winter recital for all of our clients and students. It’s is always such a wonderful event, and this year’s definitely did not disappoint.
