Last weekend, a giant rainstorm wiped out the last of the frigid temps and brought in the first signs of spring. It’s amazing the effect that small change in weather has had on just about everyone, as I’ve seen both at home with my own family as well as in the studio amongst my colleagues, clients, and their caregivers.
April is the month during which I fully dive into exploring spring themes, especially RAIN. Two of my very favorite songs on this topic are included in next month’s session plan!
For the month of April, I’m incorporating shakers, rhythm sticks, spring visuals, and streamers, along with plenty of opportunities for addressing discrimination of left and right, gross motor skills, sensory input, color identification, and much more.
