It seems like just yesterday, I was sharing songs about snow and cold weather…and now here we are, fully immersed in spring repertoire! Trust me, I am NOT complaining about that ;)
Creating my May session plans always feels a little bittersweet, because that means the school year is almost over. Of course, we’ll still see many of our students and clients over the summer, but those of you in the school setting know that a lot changes after the school year ends.
My private practice is gearing up for lots of changes as we transition into summer (including hiring a new full-time music therapist…we are still accepting applications!), but I shouldn’t get too ahead of myself. In the meantime, we’re looking forward to May and all the beauty it brings.
For the month of May, I’m incorporating jingle bells, parachute, and drums, along with plenty of opportunities for addressing directional awareness, color identification, seasonal transition, gross motor skills, imaginative thinking, impulse control, and much more.
The May session plan includes 10 goal-based songs (mp3, instrumental track, lyrics/chords) along with a facilitation guide for each song, which will allow you to implement a cohesive 30-45 minute music experience. Grab it for yourself for just $10, or save even more by subscribing for an entire year.
