Rachel Rambach, MM, MT-BC
Welcome! My name is Rachel Rambach. Here are a few words and phrases I might use to describe myself: mom, music therapist, business owner, singer, songwriter, and educator. So what happens when all of these aspects of my life converge? Well, you’re looking at it!

This is where all of my interests and skills are combined for one purpose: to make peoples’ lives better through music. Whether it’s through my original songs, serving my community through my business, or singing with my children, this is my favorite place to share my musical endeavors. Thank you for visiting, and I hope to get to know you better.

Performances
In addition to my music therapy work, I also perform frequently in local venues and at both public and private events. To inquire about booking opportunities, please contact me via email, rachel@rachelrambach.com.

{23 Days of Gratitude} Day 12 – My Office

23 Days of Gratitude | Day 12 - My Office

It’s a Sunday morning, and I’m listening to my children and husband playing below me in the playroom as I happily type away in my upstairs office. We take turns carving out small chunks of time to get things done on the weekends, while the other hangs out with the kids.

I love that I have a place in my home just for my work. That has been a priority in all three of the homes we’ve owned, since I do so much of my job at home.

{23 Days of Gratitude} Day 11 – My Education

23 Days of Gratitude | Day 11 - My Education

I was much too young and oblivious to fully understand and appreciate the value of my education as I was receiving it. Of course, I knew that college was expensive (especially a private out-of-state one), but I took for granted to an extent the fact that my parents were able to give me such an amazing gift.

{23 Days of Gratitude} Day 10 – Fall Foliage

23 Days of Gratitude | Day 10 - Fall Foliage

This may seem like a silly thing to be grateful for, but I feel it every time I drive or walk down a tree-lined street this time of year. Although there are plenty of downsides to living in the Midwest, the beauty of fall is NOT one of them.

{23 Days of Gratitude} Day 9 – Podcasts

23 Days of Gratitude | Day 9 - Podcasts

Thanks to my friend and fellow music therapist Kimberly Sena Moore, I learned about podcasts long before they were cool (way back in 2009). I became a podcaster long before most people even knew what a podcast was, and have been doing it pretty much ever since.

{23 Days of Gratitude} Day 8 – Green Juice

23 Days of Gratitude | Day 8 - Green Juice

I asked for a juicer the Christmas after my son was born. I had started working out again, and wanted to be healthier in general. I figured that juicing would be an easy way to add more vegetables to my diet.

That juicer got a LOT of use for about a year…until I was well into my second pregnancy and getting ready to move into a new house. I kind of forgot about it until this past summer, when I finally pulled it out of the cabinet and used it for the first time in forever.

{23 Days of Gratitude} Day 7 – Mimi

23 Days of Gratitude | Day 7 - Mimi

I am infinitely grateful to my mom for all the things she has taught me and provided for me throughout my life, and could write an entire novel dedicated to her.

But in this crazy season of life, raising a toddler and a preschooler, I am especially grateful for everything she does for our family in her role of “Mimi”.

{23 Days of Gratitude} Day 6 – My Studio

23 Days of Gratitude | Day 6 - My Studio

Music Therapy Connections has had quite the journey, from being based in my car (when I traveled to my students and clients), to my home, to 3 small rooms inside a music store, to now our own 2,500 square feet of space.

When my co-owner Katey and I stepped foot into the building for the first time, we knew it was where MTC was meant to be. We poured hours upon hours and our blood, sweat and tears (well, mostly Katey, since I had a newborn at the time) into making it the perfect studio for us.

{23 Days of Gratitude} Day 5 – Apple Music

23 Days of Gratitude | Day 5 - Apple Music

When I first subscribed to Apple Music, I did it purely for work purposes. My students and clients were constantly asking to learn or listen to songs that I didn’t have in my iTunes, and I wasn’t a fan of pulling up the YouTube video as an alternative.

{23 Days of Gratitude} Day 4 – Target

23 Days of Gratitude | Day 4 - Target

Raise your hand if you’re with me on this one. How could I not be grateful for a place that sells pretty much everything I could ever need (including a full Starbucks menu), AND is an exciting outing for my children?

As grateful as I am for this one-stop shopping mecca, I’m equally reluctant to step foot inside each time…only because I know I’m about to buy way more than I actually need at the moment.
