23 Days of Gratitude | Day 4 - Target

Raise your hand if you’re with me on this one. How could I not be grateful for a place that sells pretty much everything I could ever need (including a full Starbucks menu), AND is an exciting outing for my children?

As grateful as I am for this one-stop shopping mecca, I’m equally reluctant to step foot inside each time…only because I know I’m about to buy way more than I actually need at the moment.

Take this morning, for instance. My son has been begging me to buy more Thanksgiving decorations (the kid is obsessed with holidays), and I needed a few things anyway, so we hopped in the car and headed to Target before his soccer game.

45 minutes later, we walked out with a shopping cart full of decorations, the handful of items on my list, PLUS 3 pairs of Christmas jammies, new art supplies, and several winter hats and gloves.

I justified my overspending by telling myself I would need to buy all of that eventually, so it was a good thing I got it out of the way today. My house will be festive, we’ll be fully prepared for bedtime during the holidays, and most importantly, my kid is very happy.

So although my bank account may not love Target as much as I do, it sure is nice to be able to buy almost all that I need at one store (and everything else comes from Amazon, lol).
