Musical Storytime with Amy is for little ones ages 0-3 and their grown-ups. Created and led by prolific singer-songwriter & guitar instructor Amy Benton, this class is designed to foster creative growth through music while providing a rich interactive experience.

Join Amy as she introduces stories of all kinds & both original and familiar songs to accompany them. As a parent or caregiver, you attend the class with your child to provide support and encouragement — and capture photos and videos of music making in action!

All classes are held at Music Therapy Connections, located at 1234 Centre West Drive, Springfield, IL 62704.

Amy BentonAmy grew up in Taylorville, IL. She took guitar lessons, volunteered playing music at local nursing homes, performed in the community, started a music program for kids at the park district, and taught guitar lessons. After completing an internship at a school for autism, she graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor in Music in music therapy. She moved to Tennessee to pursue songwriting and performing. She got board-certified, started a music and movement program for preschoolers at a YMCA in Tennessee, and worked as a music therapist at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Amy has had several songs recorded by independent artists, an album produced by Pat Flynn, and opened for many national acts.
