I am one lucky girl! Not only did my family throw a super fun afternoon cookout for my birthday, but they also gave me an iPad 2 (with a pink smart cover). It was delivered to my husband’s office today, so I can’t wait to open it up and start playing with it this evening.
I also received several gift cards and checks from other family members and even a few students’ families, which I put towards the AirTurn Page Turner and Music Reader system (which you can read more about here).
I’m looking forward to using all my new gear this summer — both in my studio and for playing gigs, my first of which is tomorrow. I’m only four days into summer vacation, and yet I’ve barely had any downtime at all. Not that I’m complaining!
I look forward to hearing how you like it for music reading.
I’ll definitely keep you posted!
Hi,
iPad 2 it’s great tablet, yeah.. you’re lucky girl! Congrats for your great website!
:)
Hey Rachel! As a new MT-BC, I love your website along with Music Therapy Tween and Music Therapy Maven. After reading posts and listing to Music Therapy Round Table podcast, I am really considering saving up for an ipad. Since I would be using it in a similar way, I was wondering how much storage (16GB, 32GB, etc.) you have to keep all your music, apps, etc. It is a large investment, so I really want to do my research! Thanks for your help!
Hi Kelsey! I’m glad you’re finding our websites helpful! I have a 16GB iPad, which I find to be plenty of storage especially since I use iTunes Match so that I don’t have to “store” all of my music on the iPad. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the quick reply! I realized I didn’t ask you how much you use the wifi or 3G capabilities or if you need these functions in order to use apps like iTunes Match, clouds, gigbook, etc. Thanks again for your help!
I don’t have the 3G iPad, but i do use the wifi a LOT for certain apps (Gigbook does not need it, though), iTunes Match, etc.
