Right around this time back in 2008, I hit “publish” on my very first blog post here at Listen & Learn Music. I was a brand new, bright-eyed music therapist, eager to share the songs I was writing and hoping to connect with other new professionals like myself.
Little did I know that my blog would grow into a full-fledged business, allowing me to reach hundreds of people around the world every single day and provide them with valuable resources for helping children learn and grow though music.
Listen & Learn Music has become such a central part of my life over the years. I’ve documented my first job as a music therapist, my transition to becoming completely self-employed, the birth of my first child and then my second, another huge career shift, and everything in between.
It’s been an outlet for me, but more importantly, it’s been about serving YOU — through songs, resources, advice, and encouragement. And you’ve paid me back tenfold not just in purchases, but in emails filled with positive feedback, stories of how my songs have contributed to a child’s success, and sharing how my work has inspired you in some way.
That’s why I’m throwing a huge celebration for Listen & Learn’s 10th birthday. I want to show my appreciation for your support over the past 10 years, and I want to do that in a BIG way.
