Rhythm sticks are good for so much more than just tapping! I use them in my music therapy sessions, groups and early childhood classes to address a variety of objectives.

I’m excited to share “The Toolbox Song” with you because it truly is one of the most effective tools in my musical toolbox (pun totally intended).

My students and clients request this song time and time again, and I am always happy to oblige, because it allows me to work on so many goals at the same time.

I show my students how to use each “tool” throughout the course of the song, but I also give them the opportunity to come up with other tools and use their rhythm sticks as such. It’s fun to watch their creativity at work, especially once they realize there is no wrong way to do it.
